HB 1217, passed during the 2011 South Dakota Legislative Session, requires the Department of Health to maintain a registry of pregnancy help centers in the state. In order to be listed on the registry, pregnancy help centers must submit an affidavit to the department certifying that they provide pregnancy counseling services in South Dakota and neither perform nor refer for abortions. South Dakota abortion statute can be found at SDCL 34-23A.
The following centers have submitted the necessary affidavits to the department. The list will continue to be updated as additional affidavits are submitted.
